The coming global First Contact with extraterrestrials will fuel discussion over a plethora of subjects, among them politics, science, and history. But the most incendiary will no doubt be religion. How will certain folks react when they discover the gods they and their ancestors worshipped were in fact aliens? And that these aliens were actually people, just like us, only they came from other worlds? It gets more complex when we consider many extraterrestrial races live for thousands of years, some even longer. So any of these “gods” may still be here and interacting with us.
