If certain seers are to be believed, we are heading for an apocalyptic nightmare future whether it’s a dystopian world ruled by artificial intelligence a la Terminator or an extinction level event where any survivors better have prepped well.
Such pessimistic forecasts never resonated with me. We live in a dual universe where the forces of creation and destruction are locked in an eternal dance. Evil never dies, but good will always rise to meet the challenge.
I began writing Twilight Warrior five years ago, at a time when the real world was a fairly bleak place. The mood at the beginning of the story probably reflects my own at the time. It is good to look back now with some relief, knowing humanity is rising out of darkness, and any stumbling blocks along the way will not be lasting ones.
