Touching Distance: Anthology of the Imminent is an upcoming comic magazine about our imminent future – when revolutionary technologies such as zero-point energy, anti-gravity propulsion, and holographic healing are introduced in conjunction with the further development of artificial intelligence and rapid expansion of human consciousness. When official civilian contact takes place not only with extraterrestrials, but with long-hidden civilizations living underwater and beneath Earth’s surface.
Touching Distance presents the future neither as a fairytale utopia nor robotic dystopia, but a time of exciting exploration and challenges for humans of Earth as we transition from an age of ignorance and infighting to one of abundance, discovery, and evolution.
“A Dying Breed” is a story I’ve written (illustrated by Gabriel Caitano) that will be part of this anthology. It is set in the near future when not only disclosure of life under the surface of Earth has taken place, but also anti-gravity flying craft have been introduced to the public sector. Naturally, there will be tours to Inner Earth utilizing these vehicles. Who wouldn’t want to visit these realms of myth and legend after they are proven to exist?
