What New Species Will We Discover in the Hollow Earth?
Touching Distance: "A Dying Breed" written by Ju Chen, art by Gabriel Caitano, colors by Anton Polkhovskyi

What new species of sentient life will enter our collective awareness in a post-disclosure world? “A Dying Breed” is a story I’m writing (art by Gabriel Caitano, colors by Anton Polkhovskyi) set in the near future when not only disclosure of the existence of Inner Earth has taken place, but also anti-gravity flying craft have been introduced to the public sector. Naturally, there will be Inner Earth tours using such vehicles. Who wouldn’t want to visit this legendary realm?

But here, the tourists discover more than they bargained for – a well-known species of NHI (non-human intelligence), originally from another planet, who has lived here thousands of years and made Earth its home. How will this underground dweller react to being visited by humans from the surface?

“A Dying Breed” will be part of Touching Distance: Anthology of the Imminent, a new comic series that imagines possible challenges humanity will face in our exciting imminent future of rapid technological progress and consciousness expansion.
