Throughout history, humans have encountered many types of little people in the woods and told tales about them. One of these is the Ghillie Dhu, a mysterious being from Scottish folklore.
In VINE: Gateway to Subrealm, a graphic novel I wrote with illustrations by Coskun Kuzgun, I portray the Ghillies as a race of humanoids with vegetal genetics who exist in the 5th density vibrational plane of Inner Earth. A peaceful civilization that co-exists in harmony with nature and non-human intelligences such as dryads (tree nymphs).
