The inability to differentiate between discernment and skepticism is one of the greatest barriers to truth.
A discerning individual is open to new information and receives it without judgement or bias. A skeptic dismisses information that does not align with his/her beliefs.
A discerning individual objectively performs the required research and processing before drawing a conclusion. A skeptic refuses to commit much thought to the subject and is already biased towards a particular lazy, programmed conclusion.
Always ask yourself and others: Are you being discerning, or skeptical?
