Do We Really Want to be Happy All the Time?
Twilight Warrior written by Ju Chen & illustrated by Coskun Kuzgun

Is it even possible and if so, do we actually want to be happy all the time? Most people spend their lives either unaware or in denial about the importance of contrast to their behavior, reactions, and emotional state.

Consider how you normally view and behave towards people and things that surround your daily existence, and how that changes after you spend some time away from that environment. Does absence make the heart grow fonder?

Have you religiously pursued a particular goal or looked forward to an event or milestone, imagining it would grant you happiness? How did you feel after it was achieved? Sometimes the thrill lies more in the chase.

All creation is about contrast, about swings and happenstance. The key is to devote enough time to observing our actions and motivations without judgment, and being ready to ride each wave, even if that takes us in unexpected directions, rather than swim against the tide believing there is only one way to reach the shore.

The key to what, you may ask?

Why, to being happy, of course.
