For humanity to accelerate towards its golden age, happiness is a choice we must now consciously make as a collective. The first step is to recognize the trauma addiction we have become mired in, a predisposition towards imagining, and being drawn to, disaster scenarios.
Twilight Warrior is a comic I wrote (with art by Coskun Kuzgun) that explores how this human tendency can be exploited by manipulative forces to create a society driven by fear. A young woman awakens from a deep slumber with no memory of who she is, to a community shut down and paralyzed by a non-human threat.
She alone has been spared the psychological conditioning the rest of the populace has undergone. Can she regain her lost identity, discover her mission, and lead the others out of their paralysis?
For though she has forgotten her own name, she remembers what it feels like to be… happy.
